I am learning about web 2.0 tools and chose this one as the new one I am learning about. I chose one called I love photos. It is supposed to make it easier to select photos, edit them, and then choose them to send to people, using Flickr. I love working with phoItos and getting them. After losing all our photos in the fire that destroyed our home almost 5 years ago, the few photos we have of the boys at younger ages are so wonderful to have. I haven't found it to be as easy as it said it would be.
It could just be that I haven't learned it as well as I thought, or it isn't as easy as it says it is Also, it uses flickr and because I am still new to it, that could be the reason it didn't go as well as I thought.
When you begin to work with it, it comes up with a small picture to move it to your applications. That part was so very easy!
It looks like the picture in this blog.
I did find one I liked that clips photos edges and adds shadows. it gives a photo a 'finished" look, which is easily overlooked
It is easily overlooked as you see the various tools. I really like it alot.
I didn't really find any others that I felt I needed, that were free. I am not interested in getting the purchased ones now. There is one that is specifically for music teachers. I liked the way it manages files, including your fundraisers, etc. The problem with it is it is free for 30 days, bu then it costs $175 for a year. I don't want to try something where I put alot of info in it for 30 days and then let it go. I also get no budget, so it would come from my pocket, and I already pay for my workshops, conferences, memberships, music, instruments and equipment that I use. I don't think I can afford to spend money on this, even though it looks great.
